Weather Authority Issues Rain and Flood Warning for 20 Provinces in Afghanistan

The Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that tomorrow (Friday, April 17) 20 provinces in the country will experience rainfall and possible flooding. According to this forecast, rainfall amounts in various areas are estimated to range between 10 to 35 millimeters.

The provinces included in this warning are Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Logar, Kabul, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Laghman, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Bamyan, Samangan, Badakhshan, Takhar, and Sar-e Pol.

The Meteorological Department also reported the possibility of strong winds reaching speeds of 50 to 100 kilometers per hour in the central, northern, eastern, southeastern, and western regions of the country.

Additionally, snowfall is expected in the highland and cold regions. Residents of these provinces have been urged to take precautionary measures amid these weather changes.
