Netanyahu’s Coalition Leads Israeli Knesset Elections with 53 Seats

Preliminary results from the Israeli Knesset elections indicate that the coalition led by Benjamin Netanyahu has taken the lead with 53 seats, while the alliance headed by Gadi Eisenkot has secured 48 seats.

The Central Elections Committee announced that 85.6 percent of the votes have been counted so far. According to the current tally, Arab parties have collectively won 19 seats.

However, nearly 600,000 remaining votes, known as the “double envelopes,” will be counted by tomorrow. These votes could potentially alter the final results. The double envelope votes are typically used to collect votes from soldiers, reservists, patients, prisoners, displaced persons, individuals with disabilities, and election officials, particularly when they cast their ballots outside their main voting districts.

The ongoing vote count and its impact on the final composition of the Knesset continue to draw close attention from observers and various political parties.
