Taliban say several suspects detained over various crimes in Herat’s Shindand

The Taliban administration has reported the arrest of several suspects in connection with various crimes in Shindand district of Herat province.
The Taliban police command in Herat said several people had been detained from Shindand district on charges of “various crimes.”
Sayed Masoud Hosseini, spokesman for the Taliban police command in Herat, said those arrested are accused of stealing property, drug trafficking, pickpocketing and car theft.
He said the individuals will be handed over to the “relevant authorities” after initial investigations.
The Taliban police command spokesman also claimed that security forces continue their efforts to ensure residents’ safety, fight crime and prevent criminal activities.
