Taliban say 67 men graduate from heavy weapons training course

The Taliban administration has announced that 67 young men have graduated from the artillery directorate under its general staff after a one-month professional training course in heavy weapons.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defence said on Saturday that the men were trained in the artillery directorate from central and regional units and detachments. According to the ministry, 33 people learned to operate the 9P135 Milan Concourse system and 34 learned to operate the 9P140 Uragan.

Taliban officials also claimed that having a strong artillery force is considered one of the important elements in increasing defensive capability.

The artillery directorate is one of the specialist branches in the military structure that oversees the training and use of heavy weapons. In recent months, the Taliban administration has also repeatedly announced similar training courses for its forces.
