Two killed, three injured in vehicle rollover on Salang Highway

Parwan police command said two people, including the driver, were killed and three others were injured after a vehicle overturned on the Salang Highway.

According to the department, the incident took place at around midnight last night in the “Qabr Kalanar” area, when the vehicle was travelling from the north toward Kabul.

Parwan police said driver inattention was the cause of the accident.

The Salang Highway is considered one of Afghanistan’s key transit routes and connects the northern provinces to Kabul. Traffic accidents on the highway are reported from time to time because of heavy traffic and the difficulty of some sections of the route.
