Two Armed Opponents Killed in Security Operation in Baghlan

The media office of the Taliban-run governor’s office in Baghlan said two armed opponents were killed in a security operation in the village of Charsayi, in Nahrin district.
According to the office, the dead were identified as “Commander Shamshi Kharabad” and “Commander Baba.” The Taliban administration did not release further details about the identities of these men or how the clash unfolded.
The Taliban said the operation was carried out on Friday evening with the aim of ensuring security, preventing unrest and creating a safe environment for local residents.
Nahrin district is located in Baghlan province in northern Afghanistan, a province that has repeatedly witnessed security incidents and operations by forces from the sides involved in recent years.
