Washington meeting focuses on support for Afghanistan’s private sector
Haji Obaidullah Sadiqkhil, head of the Afghanistan Trade Council in the United Arab Emirates, has met with Jeff Greico, president of the Afghanistan-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in Washington to discuss the development of Afghanistan’s private sector and future plans.
According to a statement from the Afghanistan Trade Council in the United Arab Emirates, the two sides also reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation and methods of supporting Afghanistan’s business community.
The statement did not provide further details on the programmes discussed, when they would be implemented, or any specific agreement between the two sides.
The Afghanistan Trade Council in the UAE and the Afghanistan-U.S. Chamber of Commerce are among the institutions working to connect Afghan traders with regional and international markets.
