Saudi Arabia condemns blast near school in Kabul

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry has condemned the recent blast near a school in Kabul, saying it stands with the people of Afghanistan.
In a statement, the ministry expressed its strong opposition to all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism. Saudi Arabia also wished a speedy recovery to those wounded in the incident and called for lasting peace, security and stability for the people of Afghanistan.
The explosion occurred on Monday in the Dasht-e-Barchi area, adjacent to the 18th police district of Kabul city. According to published information, about 42 children were wounded in the incident.
Dasht-e-Barchi in western Kabul is considered one of the city’s densely populated areas and in recent years has repeatedly witnessed bloody attacks, especially against civilians and educational centres.
