Egypt, Qatar and Turkey condemn escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza

Egypt, Qatar and Turkey have issued a joint statement condemning the escalation of Israeli attacks on residents of the Gaza Strip, warning that the development could disrupt regional and international efforts at this sensitive time.
The statement said the increase in Israeli attacks weakens efforts to manage the current situation and raises the risk of further escalation.
The three countries also stressed the need to implement Israel’s obligations under the Gaza ceasefire agreement, saying any action that makes the truce vulnerable should be prevented.
The Gaza Strip is located in southern Palestine and in recent months has repeatedly been at the center of regional and international diplomatic efforts to reduce fighting and preserve the ceasefire.
