Former Afghan security official close to Abdul Raziq Achakzai killed in Quetta

Sources in Kandahar say Haji Woror Achakzai, a former security official and one of the people close to Abdul Raziq Achakzai, was shot and killed on Sunday morning, 25 Asad, in the Pakistani city of Quetta.
According to the sources, the incident took place near his home. They added that the attackers were armed men on motorcycles who opened fire on him.
According to the sources, Haji Woror Achakzai was the head of the second security district in Kandahar city under the previous government. After the fall of the republic, he moved to Quetta out of fear of the Taliban administration, the sources said, and had been living there.
So far, the motive for the killing and the identities of those responsible have not been clarified. General Abdul Raziq Achakzai, to whom Haji Woror was said to be close, was the former police commander of Kandahar.
