37 Dead and Injured in Ansarullah Attack on Al-Mokha, Yemen

The Minister of Health of the Saudi-backed government in Yemen has announced that at least seven people have died and 30 others have been injured as a result of operations by Ansarullah-affiliated forces in the Al-Mokha area.

According to the official, these casualties occurred after areas controlled by forces affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition in western Yemen were targeted. Media sources have reported that several gathering centers and ammunition depots were damaged in this operation.

A military source told Al Masirah network that the attacks resumed on Sunday night, targeting operational and armament centers of forces allied with the Saudi coalition.

This incident took place just hours after the Defense Ministry of the Sanaa-based government warned residents of areas under Saudi coalition control to stay away from military sites and arms depots.

Meanwhile, several social media users have shared images and videos from the scene, claiming that some ammunition depots were located near residential homes. The Al-Mokha region, situated on the Red Sea coast, is considered a strategic point in the recent years’ conflicts in Yemen.
