Two Arrested in Connection with Woman’s Murder in Herat

The Herat Police Command announced that two individuals have been identified and detained in connection with the murder of a woman in this province. According to security officials, these individuals had fled to Nimroz province after committing the murder and were attempting to leave the country. Authorities claimed that after escaping to a neighboring country, they were brought back to Afghanistan as a result of security operations. The Herat Police Command added that security forces, through several operations in Nimroz province, facilitated the transfer of these individuals back to Herat. According to the released statement, the detainees have confessed to their crime and, after the completion of their case files, will be handed over to the judicial and legal authorities of the Taliban administration.
