National Resistance Front Reports Killing of Two Taliban Officials in Herat

The National Resistance Front has reported that two members of the Taliban administration were killed in Herat province following an attack on a Taliban patrol vehicle.
According to a statement released by the front, the incident took place on Thursday, August 8, near the Pashdan Dam in Herat. The front claimed that the killed individuals belonged to the “Al-Farooq Military Unit” of the Taliban administration in western Afghanistan.
The National Resistance Front emphasized in its statement that its forces carry out targeted attacks in various parts of Afghanistan. The group described the aim of these attacks as “liberating the people and the country from the illegitimate rule of the Taliban.”
In recent weeks, reports have indicated a rise in attacks by the National Resistance Front against Taliban forces in some provinces of the country. The Taliban administration has not responded to this incident so far.
