Israeli Cabinet Moves Meeting to Underground Shelter Amid Fears of Iranian Attacks

Israeli sources have reported that the country’s cabinet meeting was suddenly relocated to a secure underground shelter, where it was held. According to these sources, the move was prompted by concerns over possible attacks by Iran.

According to Al Jazeera, this decision was made amid escalating tensions between Israel, Iran, and Lebanon, with Israeli officials tightening security measures.

Israeli radio also reported that during today’s cabinet meeting, the state of emergency in Israeli-controlled areas is expected to be extended until August 11, in light of recent developments.

This is not the first time that meetings of senior Israeli officials have been held in underground locations; during previous periods of increased security tensions, cabinet sessions have been conducted in shelters or protected facilities.
