Trump Criticizes US Military Equipment Left Behind for Taliban During Afghanistan Withdrawal

Donald Trump, President of the United States, has criticized the large amount of US military equipment left behind in Afghanistan during the withdrawal of American forces, describing the situation as “regrettable.” On Wednesday, speaking at a rally, Trump claimed that the Biden administration handed over a significant portion of the US military assets in Afghanistan during the troop withdrawal. He said, “They gave a large part of it to the Taliban (Islamic Emirate) and Afghanistan.” The US president emphasized that planes and other equipment should have been removed from Afghanistan. According to him, what happened at that time was “a hateful act.” Trump also claimed that the United States now possesses “the strongest and most powerful army in the world,” adding that much of this military strength was developed during his first term as president.
