IOM Creates Job Opportunities in Kandahar’s Maiwand Market Through Cash-for-Work Program

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has announced the creation of job opportunities for the residents of Maiwand Market in Kandahar province through a “Cash-for-Work” program.
On Monday, July 20, IOM shared a statement on its X page saying that this initiative is being implemented within the framework of the Afghanistan Community Resilience Program (ACRP) with financial support from the European Union.
According to the organization, in addition to providing livelihoods for local residents, the program improves access to healthcare services and a safe, gender-responsive sewage system.
IOM emphasized that this project aims to strengthen the capacity of local communities and enhance their resilience against economic and social challenges.
