IRGC Claims Attack on Strategic Targets in Kuwait Amid Ongoing Retaliation Operations

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that, as part of what it calls a “retaliatory operation,” it targeted several strategic sites within Kuwaiti territory. According to the statement by the IRGC, the fifteenth wave of the “Nasr 2” operation included attacks on HIMARS missile launchers and platforms in Kuwait, as well as locations housing U.S. forces.
The statement indicates that the operation was carried out by the IRGC Ground Forces using drones and missiles. The IRGC claims that these attacks resulted in the deaths of several American troops and armed opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The announcement emphasizes that this action was in response to what it terms “last night’s war crimes,” and that the retaliatory operations will continue. So far, officials from Kuwait and the United States have not issued formal comments regarding these claims.
Kuwait, a Gulf state hosting U.S. military bases, could face significant security implications and shifts in regional relations if these attacks are confirmed.
