Taliban Representatives and Brunei Officials Discuss Expanding Bilateral Relations

Naqibullah Ahmadi, acting head of the Taliban administration’s embassy in Malaysia, met with Dr. Faridah Noor binti Abdul Razak, head of the Asia and Africa division at Brunei’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss strengthening and expanding bilateral relations.
According to a statement from the embassy, both sides discussed initiating and developing cooperation in political, economic, cultural, and educational fields during the meeting. They emphasized establishing new frameworks for official interaction between Kabul and Bandar Seri Begawan.
The meeting also stressed the continuation of contact and follow-up talks to expand relations. These developments come despite the Taliban administration not yet being recognized by many countries, as it seeks to broaden its bilateral ties regionally and globally.
