Shaheed Baghaei Hospital in Ahvaz Temporarily Evacuated Following US Missile Attacks
The Deputy for Security and Law Enforcement of Khuzestan Province announced that four locations around the city of Ahvaz were targeted in attacks, with an additional site within the city also coming under assault. According to him, no reports of casualties have been released so far.
Valiollah Hayati said the attacks occurred minutes ago and investigations into their scope are ongoing. He added that following the impact of projectiles on one of the urban areas, several residential homes nearby sustained damage and some residential windows were broken.
At the same time, it was reported that after several missiles struck the vicinity of Shaheed Baghaei Hospital in Ahvaz, the medical center is being temporarily evacuated. Authorities stated this measure was taken to ensure the safety of patients and healthcare staff.
Shaheed Baghaei Hospital is considered one of the major healthcare centers in Ahvaz and a portion of its patients are children suffering from cancer. Following the incident, families have moved to roads and areas surrounding the hospital to care for their children.
