7 Million Afghani Water Supply Project Launched in Deh Sabz District

The Directorate of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Kabul has announced the commencement of a potable water supply network project in the Tangi Gharwi village of Deh Sabz district. According to the directorate, the estimated cost of the project exceeds 7 million Afghanis.

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, under the Taliban administration, stated in a press release that the project includes digging a well 140 meters deep, installing 215 water taps, setting up 42 solar panels, and laying 7,330 meters of piping.

According to provided information, upon completion of this project, hundreds of families living in the village will gain access to clean drinking water. Additionally, the project has created temporary employment opportunities for dozens of people during its execution.

Access to safe drinking water is a fundamental need for residents of rural areas in Kabul, and the implementation of such projects can help alleviate some of the water shortage problems in these regions.
