Income-Generating Aid Distributed to 22 Needy Families in Kunar Province

The Department of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs in Kunar province has announced the distribution of income-generating aid, including vehicles and work equipment, to 22 needy families in the province. According to the department, this assistance was provided with financial cooperation from the Nasir Charity Foundation, aiming to strengthen the economic self-sufficiency of deserving families.
A press office under the Taliban-run Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs stated in a press release that in this program, transportation vehicles were provided to 11 orphan families, while income-generating tools and equipment were given to 11 widowed women. Officials say this initiative is intended to create job opportunities and meet the daily needs of these families.
Mufti Ubaidullah Haqqani, head of the Martyrs and Disabled Affairs in Kunar, described the distribution as a step toward empowering the economic status of orphan families and expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the Nasir Charity Foundation.
Kunar is an eastern province of the country where many residents face economic challenges. Although such programs can address some immediate needs of vulnerable families, social activists emphasize that continuity, transparency, and broader coverage of such aid are essential to reducing poverty across various areas of the province.
