Baghlan Province Produces Up to 35 Tons of Honey Annually

The Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Baghlan has announced that between 25 to 35 tons of honey are produced annually in the province. According to officials, there are currently 380 beekeeping farms operating in various areas of Baghlan, contributing to the honey production sector.
Mohammad Wali Amarkhail, the head of the press section of the department, stated that these farms are regularly engaged in production, and the annual output varies depending on climatic conditions and technical resources.
He added that support programs aimed at strengthening beekeepers and increasing production capacity are ongoing. Efforts are also being made to improve the marketing channels for Baghlan honey to facilitate easier access of the products to markets.
Officials at Baghlan’s Department of Agriculture emphasize that the honey from this province holds a strong regional reputation for quality. Technical and economic support will continue sustainably to further develop this sector. Baghlan is considered one of the country’s agricultural provinces, and beekeeping, alongside other agricultural activities, serves as an important source of income for many of its residents.
