Uzbekistan and Qatar Discuss Afghanistan’s Development and Regional Cooperation

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Ismatullah Irgashev, the Special Representative of the Uzbek President for Afghanistan, met with Hassan Hamza Hashem, Qatar’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, to discuss issues related to Afghanistan. According to the ministry’s statement, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and focused on expanding cooperation in trade, economy, transportation, logistics, culture, and humanitarian aid. These talks were aimed at supporting sustainable development processes in Afghanistan. Based on the information released, the Qatari side appreciated Uzbekistan’s efforts to support Afghanistan’s economic and social revival and described Tashkent’s role as significant in enhancing regional stability and development. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasized the continuation of regular and constructive dialogues regarding Afghanistan-related matters, as well as the expansion of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar on regional issues.
