Khost’s Sixth District Road Completed with 21 Million Afghani Investment

The Khost Municipality announced the completion of road paving work on a street in the sixth district of Khost city, costing nearly 21 million Afghanis from the municipality’s development budget. According to officials, the road measures 650 meters in length and 13 meters in width. As part of the project, 1.3 kilometers of covered drainage channels were constructed, two culverts were built, and the road leading to the Maliki Hospital was also repaired. Municipality authorities stated that the project was completed over seven months. They said the aim of this initiative is to improve citizens’ commuting and reduce problems caused by surface water in the area. Although completing such projects can address some of the urban needs of Khost residents, citizens consistently emphasize the fair distribution of development budgets and transparency in their expenditure by the Taliban administration.
