Kremlin Urges Iran and US to Return to Negotiation Table Amid Rising Tensions

The Kremlin spokesperson has expressed Moscow’s concern over the escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, calling on both countries to exercise restraint and resume negotiations. Dmitry Peskov stated on Thursday that continued tensions could have widespread consequences for the region and the global economy.
According to the RIA Novosti news agency, Peskov emphasized that Russia desires both parties in the dispute to return to the path of dialogue. He added that worsening the current situation threatens not only regional stability but also impacts international economic relations.
In another part of his remarks, the Kremlin spokesperson referenced the European Union’s sanctions against Russian banks, stating that these restrictions are not a new issue. He noted that major Russian banks have been under sanctions for a long time and that the country’s banking sector remains stable and under control.
These comments come amid renewed tensions between Tehran and Washington in recent days. Moscow had previously stressed the importance of resolving disputes through diplomatic means and urged avoiding actions that could further destabilize the region.
