Turkey Hopes Indirect Talks Between Tehran and Washington Will Ease Tensions

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed hope that the indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington will lead to reduced tensions in West Asia and establish lasting peace in the region. He emphasized that continuing these talks could pave the way for greater stability in the area.
According to international media reports, Fidan stated that Ankara is closely monitoring the ongoing discussions between Iran and the United States and hopes that these diplomatic efforts will yield positive results.
The official Anadolu news agency, citing sources from Turkey’s Foreign Ministry, reported that Fidan held a phone call on Thursday with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, during which they discussed the progress of negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
During the call, both sides reviewed the perspectives of various actors and the latest status of the talks. Turkey and Qatar are among the countries closely following political and security developments in West Asia, as the outcomes of these events could significantly impact regional stability.
