Putin Announces New Ambitious Goals for Moscow and Beijing Cooperation

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, announced that during his trip to China, he held constructive talks with Xi Jinping, and the two countries outlined new and extensive goals for expanding bilateral cooperation.

According to Russian media, on Wednesday, as part of his official visit to Beijing, Putin also met with Li Qiang, China’s Prime Minister. In this meeting, he emphasized that expanding joint cooperation and protecting these relations from external influences are among the top priorities of Moscow and Beijing.

The Russian president further stated that joint projects between the two countries are being pursued steadily, and both sides are striving to further strengthen economic and trade cooperation.

Highlighting the trade exchange trend between the two nations, Putin added that trade growth between Russia and China will exceed 10 percent this year. He also invited Li Qiang to visit Russia, expressing Moscow’s eagerness to host the Chinese Prime Minister.
