ICRC Supports 250 Farmers in Herat with Agricultural Equipment and Training

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has announced its support for 250 farmers in the Khusans district of Herat province by providing silos, harvesting machines, tarpaulins, and technical training. The program aims to prevent damage to wheat crops, reduce losses, and facilitate the harvesting process.
According to the information released, this equipment helps farmers protect their products against environmental factors and potential damages. Additionally, the training provided has introduced better methods for storing and harvesting wheat.
Red Cross officials stated that, with these resources, tasks that previously took weeks can now be completed within a few days. Herat province is one of the key agricultural regions of the country, with many residents of its districts engaged in cultivating wheat and other crops.
