Qatar and Saudi Arabia Discuss Iran-US Ceasefire Talks

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the country’s Prime Minister, held a phone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to discuss regional developments and the ceasefire process between Iran and the United States.
According to the ministry, the main focus of the phone consultation was to review the latest status of efforts to stabilize the ceasefire and reduce tensions in the region. Both sides emphasized the importance of diplomatic coordination in response to ongoing events.
The Qatari Prime Minister highlighted the necessity of supporting mediation efforts aimed at resolving the current crisis through dialogue, stating that achieving a sustainable agreement could prevent the escalation of tensions once again.
The report added that prior to this, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani had also consulted with Kuwaiti officials regarding regional developments and the ceasefire process mentioned. In recent years, Qatar has sought to play a mediatory role in several regional issues.
