Taliban Forces Destroy Nearly 400 Acres of Narcotics Crops in Baghlan Province

The Baghlan Police Command under Taliban administration has announced that nearly 400 acres of land in the districts of Dehsalah, Dand-e-Naghuri, Central Baghlan, Jalaqa, Doshi, and Khost in the province have been cleared of narcotics cultivation.

According to the statement from this entity, these areas were previously used for growing banned plants but have now been destroyed. However, no details have been provided regarding the exact timing of the operation or the methods used to eliminate the narcotic fields.

Baghlan province, located in northern Afghanistan, is among the regions where narcotics cultivation has been reported in some districts. The lack of transparency about the timing and operational processes of such activities has continually raised questions about the sustainability and effectiveness of Taliban-led anti-narcotics programs.

So far, no information has been released about the possible arrest of individuals connected to these cultivation sites or supplementary measures to prevent replanting in these areas.
