High-Level Karakalpakstan Delegation Visits Balkh to Boost Trade Cooperation

The Taliban’s Department of Industry and Trade has announced that a high-level delegation from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan, led by Amanbai Orynbaev, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic, along with several representatives from the private sector, has traveled to Balkh Province. Shahabuddin Saqib, the Deputy for Finance and Administration of the department, is also part of the delegation. According to the department’s statement, the purpose of the visit is to hold a trade communications conference and conduct face-to-face meetings between members of the Karakalpakstani private sector and merchants of Balkh Province. Additionally, an exhibition showcasing domestic products and goods from the Republic of Uzbekistan is set to open in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif. The exhibition aims to introduce these products and expand economic cooperation between the two parties. Due to its geographical location and proximity to Central Asia, Balkh Province is considered one of Afghanistan’s most important commercial hubs and has consistently hosted regional economic meetings and events.
