Sudan Alleges UAE and Ethiopia Involvement in Khartoum Drone Attacks

Sudan’s army spokesperson has announced that the country possesses documented evidence indicating that the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia were involved in the recent drone attack on Khartoum airport. He emphasized that Sudan reserves the right to respond “at an appropriate time.” According to local media reports, Asim Awad Abdulwahab stated that Monday’s drone attacks targeted Khartoum airport and the surrounding residential areas, and military positions in the cities of Khartoum and Omdurman were also hit. He said technical investigations revealed that the drones used in these attacks had taken off from Bahir Dar airport in Ethiopia. He added that analysis of the remains of one downed drone showed the number “S88” inscribed on it. The Sudanese army spokesperson also claimed that the manufacturer of this drone confirmed the device belonged to the United Arab Emirates. So far, there has been no official response from the UAE or Ethiopia regarding these allegations.
