Germany to Launch Online Visa Application Process for Afghan Citizens
The German Embassy in Islamabad has announced that the application process for work and study visas for Afghan citizens will be conducted online. According to the embassy’s announcement, applicants will be able to submit their applications through the consular portal starting from June 1.
In a newsletter published on Friday, April 30, it was stated that Afghan citizens will be able to complete the relevant forms online from home and attach the required documents through the same platform.
The German Embassy said the purpose of this initiative is to simplify the process, speed up application reviews, and improve consular services. This move comes at a time when many Afghan applicants have had to visit German diplomatic missions outside their country, especially in Pakistan, to handle visa matters.
Germany is considered a major destination for Afghan citizens seeking education and employment opportunities, and this administrative simplification could alleviate some practical difficulties faced by applicants in this regard.
