Taliban Forces Stop $350,000 Smuggling at Islam Qala Border

Officials from the Taliban administration announced that border forces at the Islam Qala port in Herat province prevented the smuggling of $350,000 in US currency. According to them, one individual was arrested in connection with the incident.

Based on the released information, this person intended to illegally transfer this amount of cash out of the country. After initial checks, the border forces placed him under surveillance and confiscated the discovered money.

The Ministry of Interior added that after completing the preliminary police investigations, the individual’s case will be referred to judicial and legal institutions for further processing.
