Islamabad’s Diplomatic Moves: Army Chief’s Visit to Washington and Sharif’s Talks in Doha

Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, arrived in Doha after concluding his trip to Saudi Arabia to discuss developments related to the Iran-US negotiations with senior Qatari officials. According to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Office, this visit took place on Thursday and was primarily focused on regional consultations.
According to a statement released by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Office, this trip is part of diplomatic efforts to pave the way for a second round of talks between Iran and the United States. In recent years, Qatar has played a mediating role in several regional dialogue processes.
Pakistani sources also reported that after Doha, Shahbaz Sharif will proceed to Turkey as the third destination of his regional tour. This visit is by the invitation of the Turkish President and aims to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Simultaneously with these diplomatic activities, the Chief of Pakistan’s Army, who traveled to Iran on Wednesday, is scheduled to visit the United States on Friday. These movements are taking place amid ongoing developments surrounding the Tehran-Washington negotiations, which are being closely followed both regionally and internationally.
