United Airlines Extends Suspension of Flights to Israel Until September 2026

United Airlines has announced that it will extend the suspension of its flights to and from Israel until September 7, 2026. This decision follows the halt of operations by several international airlines amid heightened security concerns in the region.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, the cancellations and suspensions of flights to Israel have expanded in recent weeks, with several major airlines halting their scheduled services.
The recent escalation intensified after a joint attack by the United States and Israel on Iranian territory on February 28, 2026. Following this, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, citing the principle of self-defense under international law, targeted locations inside Israel with missile strikes and drone attacks.
In the wake of these events, airlines such as Delta, Air Canada, Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings have also suspended their flights to Israel. The continuation of this situation may impact air travel and commercial activities in the region.
