Lavrov Accuses Europe of Trying to Drive a Wedge Between Russia and the US
Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister, stated that the European Union has been persistently attempting to create division and discord between Russia and the United States.
According to Lavrov, this European approach stems from Brussels’ interpretation of US policies; interpretations that European officials believe, during Donald Trump’s presidency, leaned towards advancing Russian interests.
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that Moscow is closely monitoring these efforts and remains vigilant against what he described as provocations by Brussels.
Without referencing any specific action, he added that Russia has sufficient experience with such approaches and will not allow these policies to have a decisive impact on its relations with Washington.
