Taliban’s Acting Foreign Minister Says All Neighbors Except Pakistan Are Satisfied with Relations

Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban administration, has stated that all of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, except Pakistan, have expressed satisfaction with their interactions with the group.
According to the Financial Express newspaper, Muttaqi emphasized on Tuesday, October 14, that the Taliban administration has no intention of hostility or conflict with any foreign country.
However, relations between Islamabad and the Taliban have become strained in recent months, primarily over border and security issues along the Durand Line, a matter that has repeatedly sparked disagreements between the two sides.
Earlier, in response to rising tensions, Muttaqi warned that if Pakistan is unwilling to pursue peace, the Taliban would consider “other options.” This veiled threat has raised concerns about the Taliban administration’s exclusive and irresponsible foreign policy.
Muttaqi’s remarks come as the Taliban administration has yet to be recognized by any regional country or global power, and its political and legal system has consistently faced domestic and international criticism.
