250 Taliban Recruits Graduate from Military Training Center in Badakhshan

Officials of the Taliban administration announced that 250 of their recruits graduated after completing professional and military training at the 219th Omar Thalith faction training center. The graduation ceremony was held in Badakhshan province with the presence of several military and local officials.

The event was attended by Qari Abdul Wasil Nazari, deputy of the 219th Omar Thalith faction, Mawlawi Dad Mohammad Nadim, head of education and training at the Taliban Ministry of Defense, Mawlawi Shir Mohammad Jawad, head of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Department in Badakhshan, and several other officials. They described the graduates’ completion of training as an educational achievement.

In his speech, the head of education and training at the Taliban Ministry of Defense emphasized obedience and discipline as fundamental principles for strengthening order and cohesion within the military structure, urging the graduates to act in accordance with the leadership’s directives. This comes amid ongoing criticism about ideological biases in Taliban military training centers and concerns over the emphasis on ideological education alongside combat skills.

During the ceremony, other officials stressed the continued efforts to enhance the professional and ideological capacities of the recruits. The event concluded with the graduates demonstrating their practical exercises and military skills, followed by a prayer for success.
