The latest 2025 Gallup Institute survey results reveal that global approval of China’s leadership has reached 36%, while the figure for the United States stands at 31%. This 5% gap marks the largest difference between the two countries since the survey began nearly two decades ago.
According to the report, global satisfaction with US leadership has seen a significant decline compared to last year. Approval for the US dropped from 39% in 2024 to 31% in 2025.
In contrast, China has experienced an upward trend. Approval of China’s leadership increased from 32% in 2024 to 36% this year.
