Daily Cottonseed Oil Production in Kandahar Reaches 200 Tons

Officials in Kandahar province have announced that daily cottonseed oil production at the province’s industrial park has reached approximately 200 tons, reflecting the expansion of industrial activities in this sector.

According to them, 30 cottonseed oil production factories are currently active within the industrial park. Collectively, these factories have an annual production capacity of up to 50,000 tons of oil.

Kandahar Industrial Park is considered one of the key production sites in southern Afghanistan, hosting several agricultural product processing factories. Beyond meeting part of the domestic market demand, cottonseed oil production also provides employment opportunities for dozens of local residents.
