Afghan Liberation Front Claims Killing Four Taliban Fighters in Badakhshan

The Afghan Liberation Front has announced that with the start of a new round of so-called “spring attacks,” it killed four Taliban fighters in Badakhshan province. On Monday, 10th of Hamal, the front released a video claiming that the operation targeted a watchtower belonging to the border brigades of the Taliban’s 219th division in the Qalatak area of Baharak district.
According to the Liberation Front, three additional Taliban fighters were wounded in the attack. The Taliban administration has not commented on the incident as of the time this report was published.
Previously, the Liberation Front had announced a temporary halt to its military operations due to the month of Ramadan. Now, the front says that with the end of that period, it has launched a new phase of attacks, targeting Taliban forces’ gathering centers, bases, and checkpoints.
In recent months, alongside increasing restrictions and pressures by the Taliban administration across various parts of the country, both the Liberation Front and the National Resistance Front have occasionally claimed responsibility for armed attacks against Taliban forces. However, due to media restrictions and lack of free access to conflict areas, independent verification of these claims remains difficult.
