Four Kidnapped Children Rescued in Salang District, Parwan Province

Four children who had been kidnapped some time ago from Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, were rescued in Salang district of Parwan province. The Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice and Complaint Hearing announced that the operation was carried out in cooperation with security forces.

According to the ministry’s statement, after receiving public reports and conducting preliminary investigations, the location where the children were held was identified. In a timely action, they were freed from the kidnappers. No further details have been provided regarding the identities of the kidnappers or how the children were transferred from Balkh to Parwan.

The rescued children, after completing legal procedures and necessary checks, were handed over to their families in coordination with the Balkh province’s Propagation of Virtue department. The families, expressing their happiness at the return of their children, have called for strict action against those responsible for the incident.

The ministry has requested security and intelligence agencies to arrest the perpetrators and refer them to judicial authorities for legal proceedings. Meanwhile, the recurrence of kidnapping incidents in some provinces has raised concerns among residents, and it is expected that the Taliban administration will undertake more proactive and transparent measures to ensure children’s security and prevent such incidents.
