Pakistani Artillery Shelling in Asadabad Kills One, Injures 16

Hamidullah Fetrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban administration, announced that Pakistani forces once again targeted parts of Asadabad city, the capital of Kunar province, with artillery attacks. According to him, the attacks resulted in one death and at least 16 injuries.
Fetrat stated that the victims of this incident were civilians, the majority of whom were women and children. He released images of the wounded and claimed that heavy weapons were used in these attacks.
Asadabad is located near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and has witnessed similar incidents in past years. The continuation of such attacks has raised concerns among local residents and highlighted questions about how the Taliban administration is securing the border areas.
So far, Pakistani officials have not issued an official response regarding these claims.
