Pakistan Fires 24 Artillery Shells at Kunar Districts Amid Declared Eid Ceasefire

The Department of Information and Culture of Kunar has announced that within the past 24 hours, Pakistani military forces fired 24 artillery shells at the Nari and Marawara districts of the province. Zia-ur-Rahman Spin Ghar, head of the department’s information unit, stated that these attacks did not result in any casualties.
According to him, the shelling occurred despite the Taliban administration declaring a ceasefire for the Eid holiday period. Nevertheless, local officials allege that the Pakistani side has repeatedly violated the ceasefire since its announcement.
Residents of the border areas in Kunar have previously expressed concern over the recurrence of such incidents. The continuation of this situation raises questions about the security of border regions and how the Taliban administration is managing tensions.
Kunar province, located in eastern Afghanistan and sharing a border with Pakistan, has witnessed frequent border clashes and tensions between the two sides in recent years.
