Kim Jong Un Oversees Joint Infantry and Tank Military Drill

North Korean state media reported that Kim Jong Un, the country’s leader, attended a joint tactical military exercise alongside his daughter, closely monitoring the training of infantry and tank units. The exercises took place at one of the army’s training bases.

According to North Korea’s official news agency, the drill aimed to assess the combat readiness of tank crews, evaluate the coordination of forces on the battlefield, and execute various tactical missions. The report stated that the objectives set for the exercises were successfully achieved.

During his visit, Kim Jong Un emphasized that the military should organize training programs and combat drills more intensively and actively so that troops can carry out assigned missions swiftly and accurately under any circumstances.

This military exercise comes amid rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula, coinciding with joint military drills conducted by the United States and South Korea. These joint exercises began on March 9 and are scheduled to continue until March 19, an event that has consistently drawn strong reactions from Pyongyang.
