Taliban Delegation Discusses Oil and Gas Standardization with Turkmenistan Officials

The Taliban administration has announced that a delegation from the General Directorate of Standards and Quality visited Turkmenistan, where they met with the Minister of Chemical Industries and deputies from the Ministries of Oil and Gas to discuss the standardization of oil and gas products.
According to released information, both parties emphasized expanding cooperation in setting and implementing product standards during these meetings. Additionally, the export of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas to Afghanistan based on established standards was a primary topic of these negotiations.
It was stated that the purpose of these consultations was to enhance coordination on quality assurance and technical standardization for importing oil and gas products into Afghanistan—an issue of significant economic importance given the country’s dependence on energy imports.
The delegation from the Taliban administration was led by Faizullah Samim, the General Director of the Standards and Quality Office.
