Over 32,000 Migrant Children Enrolled in Afghan Schools Since Start of 1404 Academic Year

The spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Education has announced that since the beginning of the 1404 academic year, more than 32,000 migrant children across the country have taken a placement assessment exam and have been enrolled in schools.

Mansour Ahmad Hamza stated that after completing the placement test, these children were assigned to appropriate classes based on their results to continue their education. According to him, this procedure has been implemented nationwide.

The placement exam is conducted for children who, due to migration or interruption in their education, lack complete academic records and need their educational level to be determined.

However, a number of migrant families have consistently emphasized the necessity of providing greater facilitation in the education sector and expect the Taliban administration to guarantee equal and unhindered access to education for all children, especially in remote areas.
