The American publication Axios has reported that Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, held secret talks with the grandson of Raul Castro, the former president of Cuba. According to the report, these communications took place as part of consultations concerning the future of relations between the two countries.
Axios, citing a source within the administration of Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, wrote that these exchanges were “talks about the future” rather than formal negotiations in the strict diplomatic sense.
