Taliban Releases Three Pakistani Soldiers to Saudi Delegation

Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban administration, announced that three Pakistani soldiers who were captured during clashes on October 12, 2025, have been released and handed over to the Saudi Arabian delegation. According to him, this action is part of the Taliban administration’s declared policy to maintain positive relations with other countries and coincides with the arrival of the month of Ramadan. Mujahid added that the release was made in response to an official request from Saudi Arabia. The spokesperson also confirmed that the release took place simultaneously with the presence of the Saudi negotiating delegation in Kabul, which, he said, had arrived in the capital last Monday. No further details have been provided regarding the circumstances of the soldiers’ capture, their place of detention, or the content of the discussions between the Taliban administration and the Saudi delegation. Previously, border tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan had been reported in some areas, but the Taliban administration has offered limited information on the exact details of these incidents.
